Amy Guglielmo is an award-winning artist and author. She is an art educator, arts advocate, and co-founder of Outside Art: The Plattsburgh Public Art Project.

Her publications include the popular Touch the Art children’s series (Sterling, 2006, 2009, 2010) with Julie Appel, Pocket Full of Colors: The Magical World of Mary Blair, Disney Artist Extraordinaire (Atheneum, 2017), Booklist, July 2017, starred review, *2017 Eureka! Gold Award* California Reading Association, CBC Notable Social Studies Trade Books for Young People 2018, Bank Street Best Books 2018, Christopher Award 2018); and How to Build a Hug: Temple Grandin and Her Amazing Squeeze Machine (Athenaeum 2018, CBC Notable Social Studies Trade Books for Young People 2019) with Jacqueline Tourville; and the upcoming books: Goodnight, Starry Night (Peek-a-Boo Art) (Cartwheel/Scholastic, 2019) and Cezanne's Parrot (Putnam, 2020).

She lives with her husband on the Adirondack Coast of Lake Champlain.
