Jim al-Khalili

Jim al-Khalili earned his Ph.D. in theoretical nuclear physics from the University of Surrey. He has been a SERC Postdoctoral Fellow at University College, London, an EPSRC Advanced Research Fellow, and Fellow of the Institute of Physics. In 2003, he was elected to the Council of the British Association for the Advancement of Science. Mr. al-Khalili is now the chair of the Public Engagement in Science at the University of Surrey. In 2007, he was awarded the Royal Society Michael Faraday Prize for Science Communication of the Public Engagement in Science at the University of Surrey. In 2007, he was awarded the Royal Society Michael Faraday Prize for Science Communication.
